This example of Hula starts out with a bang!

This is a 17 year old Liza Minnelli performing on her mother, Judy Garland’s, Christmas show with choreographer, Tracy Everitt.

A group of friends from North London who have performed together almost every day for four years.  Their enthusiasm and synchrony are amazing — hence the name, Flawless.

Hi.  I’m a VP at Artspace and I think everyone can dance.  Hence, my week of dance is filled with regular people, and some experts, doing the dances (and movement) they love.  I’ve included a clip from the past to remind us that that, in the day, almost all tv and film actors could sing, dance and act and that it was a basic requirement of the trade.  You will notice lots of singing, too, because of my background and love of both singing and dancing.  Why not?

Check out these young, exuberant students from Virgina Tech. They combined what they know — technology — with what they love.

B-Boy J-Sun is one of our teaching artists at the Minnesota Shubert Center and teaches kids across Minnesota how to breakdance. Give it a try! It’s a great workout and will give you a great appreciation for this dance form! You can take classes with J-sun at Zenon Dance School.

The Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam is so specific in that each movement has a meaning attached to it. In this video, you will learn the basic Bharatanatyam move done anytime before dancing takes place. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that is so fluid and beautiful that many consider it a form of dance. In this video, you will learn the basic movement that all other moves are built off of called the Ginga! I also decided to add one more since it’s such a cool form and teaches you the Queda de Rins!
